Bill graduated from McMaster University in Hamilton with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1980 and an MBA in 1987. He spent much of his career in the downstream oil and gas sector with Shell Canada and Suncor Energy in senior management roles in many business areas, including: performance analysis, product trading, new business development, and information technology. Since 2007, Bill has worked in the field of electricity conservation. Among the conservation programs he has developed is the "Great Refrigerator Roundup", one of the most successful appliance retirement programs in North America. Bill currently works for PowerStream managing electricity conservation programs for commercial and industrial customers.
Bill joined the Board of the Alzheimer Society of York Region in February 2007, and became President in November 2008. He is also a member of the Footlights Club, a community-based theatre group in Thornhill.
Bill and his wife, Brenda have been married for over 25 years. They live in Thornhill and have three daughters.
Maimu has over thirty years of diverse human resources experience managing million-dollar budgets, forging and maintaining strategic alliances with associations, governments, educational institutions and senior managers. She has provided marketing and consulting services. Maimu is now in the travel consultancy business.
Maimu has always maintained that you must give back to your community. She has been on many Boards, committees and consultation panels.
Maimu has a Bachelor of Arts degree from McMaster, a Career Counseling Development Certificate from Concordia University College of Edmonton and her Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) designation. She has brought her energetic and enthusiastic leadership to a variety of programs and organizations including health, government, finance, environment and transportation.
Maimu has been married to her husband Jaan for 35 years and they have two adult sons. Maimu lives in Udora and works in Pefferlaw.
Shawn joined the Alzheimer Society of York Region Board of Directors in May 2011. He is a Graduate in Health Services Administration, a Certified Health Executive and a member of the Canadian College of Health Leaders.
His extensive background in healthcare administration includes work in the acute, community and long term care sectors. He was the General Manager of the Long Term Care and Seniors Branch for the Region of York and in that capacity he was responsible for a range of facility and community based programs including the Regional Psychogeriatric & Mental Health Consulting Service and the Integrated Psychogeriatric Outreach Program. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Ontario Association of Homes and Services for Seniors, Chaired the Ontario Municipal Benchmarking LTC Expert Panel from 2000-2008 and was the Co-chair of the Central LHIN Community and LTC Advisory Committee from 2006-2008. He is currently a member of the Family Selection Committee for Habitat for Humanity, York Region.
Shawn is currently a Principal & Healthcare Consultant with Envirocorp Services Inc.
Allan is a partner at Parker Garber & Chesney LLP and is practised almost exclusively in the tax area since obtaining C.A. in 1978. Lectured to groups, including Chartered Accountants and other professional bodies, on the uses and taxation of trusts and tax planning and consult with leading financial institutions in Canada concerning the use of trusts and provide advice to financial institutions related to the effects of U.S. taxes on Canadian residents.

Craig is the Human Resources Manager for Home Depot Canada and is a long time resident of Newmarket.
Margaret is a rural physician with a special interest in geriatrics and palliative care. She graduated from University of Ottawa with a medical degree and a doctorate in organic chemistry. She has experience in community health care centers having worked in them for a number of years prior to her move to solo rural practice. She has four accomplished adult children. She is also a fiber artist, photographer and loves to spend time in nature.
Janet is currently the Administrator of Specialty Care Blommington Cove, a Long Term Care Home in Whitchurch-Stouffville dedicated to residents with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia. Janet's over twenty years experience in the management of long term care and retirement facilities has focused on quality improvement initiatives and sensitivity awareness. Author of "Increasing Ethics Awareness" this training program was designed with the goal of raising awareness of ethics with the elderly. Committed to the delivery of quality care, Janet worked as an Accreditation Surveyor and a member of the Standards Committee for the Ontario Retirement Communities Association for ten years and continues to work as an Education Consultant for the Canadian Health Care Association.
Janet enjoys playing with her grandchildren and horses during her leisure time.
|David McLennan, B.A., LL.B.
David McLennan was called to the bar of the Law Society of Upper Canada in 1989 after obtaining his law degree from the University of Western Ontario and articling with a large Bay Street law firm. He founded his own law practice in Newmarket in 1991 and in 1996 joined McChesney Rogers, a predecessor firm of Hill Hunter Losell, as a partner before becoming one of the founding partners of Hill Hunter Losell Law Firm in 1999.
David’s practice is restricted to real estate law, estate planning (wills, trusts and powers of attorney) and administration as well as corporate and commercial law. David is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the York Region Law Association as well as a past director of the Lake Simcoe Region Conservation Foundation. He co-chairs the Newmarket Mayor’s Charity Golf Classic committee and is a member of Trinity United Church in Newmarket. David joined the Board of Directors of the Alzheimer Society of York Region in December of 2008.
Zahid Salman is an Exectuve Vice President at Morneau Sheppell, the largest Canadian-based HR Services company focused on delivering solutions to improve the financial security, health and productivity of client organizations and their people. A graduate of the University of Western Ontario, Zahid is an actuary with nearly 20 years of experience in the HR consulting and outsourcing industry. He has been a speaker and author on industry issues, and has taught at the Humber College Centre for Employee Benefits.
Zahid has been with the Alzheimers Society of York Region since 2010 and is also a Vice-Chair of the Board of Saint Elizabeth Health Care Foundation. He and his wife Saira have three children and live in Richmond Hill.
| Farhad Sethna
Farhad is the Vice-President, Corporate Services at Shepherd Village, an organization that has been providing accommodation and care to seniors for over 50 years. He is responsible for the Finance, Human Resources and Information Technology functions at the Village.
Farhad is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA from the Schulich School of Business. He has been actively involved in the not-for-profit sector as a volunteer for over 10 years. Currently, he is also a board member for the Toronto Chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI).
Farhad is married with two teenage children and lives in Richmond Hill.
