2010 Manulife Walk for Memories
January is Alzheimer Awareness Month…walk with us to help fight dementia in your community!
The Manulife Walk for Memories is the largest fundraising and awareness program supporting the Alzheimer Society of York Region. This is a one hour indoor walk!
38,000 Ontarians are diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease each year. There is no cure and no vaccine for this disease. We all have a reason to care…by walking this year, you can help to ensure no one has to face this disease alone!
The 7th Annual Manulife Walk for Memories increases public awareness and support to keep funding local critical programs and services for people living with dementia, including Alzheimer’s Disease. Please help us fulfill our commitment. All funds raised in York Region stay in York Region!
Walk for Memories takes place on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at the Georgina Ice Palace Hall in Keswick and on Sunday, January, 31, 2010 at Upper Canada Mall in Newmarket and Hillcrest Mall in Richmond Hill. Registration takes place at 9:00 a.m. followed by the Walk at 10:00 a.m.
