13th Annual Alzheimer Awareness Breakfast Presented by Extendicare
The Alzheimer Society of York Region was proud to present our “13th Annual Alzheimer Awareness Breakfast” on Saturday April 17th, 2010 at the beautiful Oakview Terrace in Richmond Hill. Accompanying this year’s delicious buffet style breakfast, we were pleased to have guest speaker - Chris Wynn, writer, director, editor and producer of the feature documentary FORGETFUL NOT FORGOTTEN. The documentary was an intimate portrait of a family coming to grips with the realities of early-onset Alzheimer's disease as Chris chronicles his family's journey when his father John is diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease at the age of 57.Approximately 125 guests for this year’s event were treated to a breathtaking and riveting film by Mr. Wynn.
This breakfast is made possible year after year by our very loyal and dedicated staff and special thanks for the cooperation of our sponsor, Extendicare for allowing this event to be a continued success. Sincere thanks to all of you for your continued support in making the 13th Annual Alzheimer’s Awareness Breakfast such a huge success. See you next year!
